Key Features

As the "priming and finishing" step of the epoxy system, H53-1 delivers on adhesion and compatibility.

🔗

Excellent Intercoat Adhesion

Bonds firmly with steel, concrete and upper epoxy coats, providing a reliable transition layer for subsequent coating and reducing intercoat delamination risk.

💪

Flexible, Wear & Impact Resistant

After curing, the film shows excellent flexibility, abrasion resistance and impact resistance, adapting to slight substrate deformation and mechanical loads.

🛡️

Alkali · Water · Oil · Chemical Resistant

Good resistance to alkalis, water, oils and various chemicals, suitable for sealing protection in industrial environments.

Transparent Glossy · Can Be Topcoat

Transparent and glossy, often used as a topcoat over epoxy coatings, providing sealing protection while preserving the substrate appearance.

🧱

Universal for Steel / Concrete

Can be used to seal blasted steel substrates and as a primer for concrete structures in epoxy protection systems—versatile in one product.

🔧

Flexible Compatibility

Mature compatibility with JIANBANG epoxy anti-corrosion topcoats, and other pairing schemes can be customized by working condition to suit various environments.

Typical Applications

For any condition requiring "epoxy system priming / finishing seal", H53-1 delivers.

🎨

Recommended Coating System

H53-1 is an epoxy sealer primer; the standard system is primer + topcoat; other systems can be customized by condition.

1
Primer — H53-1 Epoxy Sealer Primer
After surface preparation (blast steel to Sa2.5; concrete cured ≥28 days, moisture ≤5% and abraded clean), apply H53-1 Epoxy Sealer Primer 1 coat, approx. 30um DFT, to seal the substrate and enhance intercoat adhesion.
2
Topcoat — Epoxy Anti-Corrosion Topcoat
Apply epoxy anti-corrosion topcoat over H53-1 2 × 50um DFT, forming a complete epoxy anti-corrosion system. For stronger weather resistance outdoors, top with acrylic polyurethane topcoat.
3
Other Systems
Other pairing schemes can be developed per working condition (e.g., adding an intermediate coat to increase thickness). Contact JIANBANG Coatings at 400-990-6393 for details.
Application Key Points: Mix the two components by ratio (base:curing agent = 18:9 by weight) and stir thoroughly with a power mixer. Induction time 30 min below 10℃, 15 min above 10℃. Thinner: X-7 epoxy thinner, addition 0–15% (by paint weight). Application conditions: substrate temperature at least 3℃ above dew point, relative humidity below 85%. Surface/through dry and recoat interval vary with temperature; refer to the latest TDS.
